Do you think it’s a good idea for Chuck to go exploring?
🦄 Ask the students to envision the sorts of things and places Chuck would have seen while exploring. Additionally, how do you think he came to be caught?
🌱 Maggie fibbed about the uniform. Is it okay to fib under certain circumstances? If so, when?
How do you think the kids will “work off” their passage costs?
What is gruel? Ask the students to describe its texture and taste.
What would you have done if you were Frankie and Finn? What would you have done if you were the Robinson kids?
What other sorts of wildlife might they see?
How do you think this chapter got its title?

🐬 Let the group play different roles when the small boat goes out to view the dolphins: Frankie & Finn, the captain, crew members, passengers, the Robinson kids with flags, and the dolphins themselves!
